Terms of Service

The terms that govern access to and use of Beacon. By creating a workspace or using the Service, you agree to them.

Last updated · July 2026

Draft template — these terms are a starting point and should be reviewed by legal counsel before launch.

These terms govern your access to and use of Beacon (the “Service”). By creating a workspace or using the Service, you agree to them.

The Service

Beacon provides field-dispatch and location-coordination software. We may update, improve, or change features over time. Free workspaces are provided as-is while plan pricing is finalized.

Your responsibilities

You’re responsible for your account, your users, the accuracy of data you enter, and using the Service lawfully — including obtaining any consents required to collect and process location data of the people you serve.

Not an emergency service

Beacon is dispatch and coordination software; it is not itself an emergency-response provider, a 911 service, or a substitute for one. You are responsible for your own emergency operations and any regulatory obligations.

Availability & warranties

We work to keep the Service reliable and secure, but it is provided “as is” without warranties except as required by law. Enterprise availability commitments, if any, are set out in a separate agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or to comply with law.
